dry body brushing and cellulite...really?
What is cellulite? Cellulite is toxic deposits of fat material and fibrous tissue that cannot be eliminated, causing a dimple effect on the skin, or basically the pitted appearance of fat deposits in the body. There are various contributing factors from hormones, changes in weight, toxic build-up, etc... and unfortunately cellulite does not discriminate with any body shape or size.
How do we get rid of cellulite?? Unfortunately there is not one cure to remove dreaded cellulite. It takes physical effort, daily activity, a clean diet, lots of water and dry body brushing is a great, easy and affordable step in this process. Again, HOW? Dry skin brushing helps eliminate toxins by stimulating the organs involved in detoxification by providing a gentle internal massage. If toxins are not released through the skin they are recycled into your body and stored in fat cells. The skin is also known as the body's third kidney and it plays a major role in eliminating toxins. When we are not careful with our diets and exercise, our bodies get clogged up with these toxins which cannot be properly eliminated. Unfortunately your skin is the last to receive nutrients in the body, yet it is the first to show signs of imbalance...So again, the skin takes the beating!
Body brushing can take up to a few months to notice an effect on cellulite. Cellulite didn't appear overnight, so it cannot possibly disappear overnight either. Basically, your skin is a vital, yet a delicate organ and it is important to nurture yourself. For best results, combine body brushing in your daily routine with regular exercise and a clean, nutritious diet.
